Resident Selection
Porvoon Kodit has over 2,300 rental flats, with about 350 flats becoming available for rent each year. Most of these are reasonably priced, government-subsidised rental flats. Resident selection is based on consideration of individual need, and we aim to offer flats to those applicants who need them most, prioritising households with the most urgent housing needs, lowest incomes, and least financial resources. The selection follows the guidelines of the Resident Selection Guide from the Centre for Government-Supported Housing Construction (Varke).
Resident selection is carried out continuously as flats become available, and flats are offered to those applicants with the most pressing housing needs, according to the criteria mentioned above. This also applies to those seeking to change flats. Unsubsidised flats do not have such restrictions.
