Slippery Winter Conditions

Winter brings slippery conditions. Always let us know if you notice any danger spots in the yard areas. Early in the morning, the yard may not have been ploughed, or gritting may not yet have been done. In addition to sturdy winter boots, anti-slip devices are an easy way to improve your balance on slippery surfaces. Please also take care when entering indoors. The property insurance does not cover slips indoors caused by snowy shoes.

Remember these tips in your daily life to avoid wasting water

  • Always turn off the tap when you are not using it, for example while brushing your teeth.
  • Take quick showers instead of wasting water. If you take a 5-minute shower daily, you’ll use about 60 liters of water per day. With a daily 20-minute shower, over 240 liters of water will run down the drain.
  • Warm water costs twice as much as using cold water.

How to check your home’s plumbing for potential leaks

  • Visually inspect the faucets and pipes in the kitchen, toilet and bathroom, as well as the toilet bowl.
  • Also check the connection points of the radiators. Dried water under the thermostat may indicate a leak.

If you discover or suspect a leak, call maintenance on 040 592 8505.

We maintain good neighborly relations together

Life in the housing company goes best when we consider each other.

  • If there are noise, disruptive behavior, or parties continuing during quiet hours, it is good to address it with your neighbor first. Often, a simple conversation is enough, as the neighbor may not realize they are causing a disturbance. If the disruptive behavior continues, make a disturbance report to Porvoon Kodit.
  • In case of danger or suspicion of crime, always call emergency number 112.
  • If you are concerned about your neighbor’s or their pet’s welfare, bring it up with your neighbor or their relatives if possible. If necessary, make a report to the authorities.
  • If you wish, you can ask our customer service for rescue plan for your building in case of emergencies.
  • Don’t let your pet defecate in the housing company’s yard.
