Resident selection is made as based on the information you provide in your application. Therefore, consider carefully which preferences you set regarding the size, features, and location of the flat. You will not be offered flats that do not match the wishes you state in your application. For example, if you apply only for flats with a balcony, you will not be offered flats without one. The same applies to your preferred location. Selecting as wide an area as possible will improve your chances of receiving a housing offer. Similarly, if you want a flat only in a specific area, limit your search accordingly.
When completing the application, you will be asked for your income and asset information. You can find your income details on your payslip or the income register extract, which you can obtain from the OmaVero service. Asset details can be found in your tax decision and its breakdown. Equivalent information is also required for any other adult applicant moving with you.
Assets include, for example, flats, properties, savings, listed shares and mutual fund units, as well as land assets, such as forest plots or shares in them. You can ask an estate agent for the value of a flat or property. The balance of a savings account or possible share values can be shown with a copy from online banking. Asset limits vary by municipality.

Completing the application
If the situation affecting your housing application changes, or if you otherwise wish to amend or supplement your application, changes must be made in the Kodia service. You will find the link to the service in the email you receive when submitting your application. Our customer service can assist you in completing your application if necessary.
Updating your application is especially important in situations where, for example, your moving schedule from your previous flat changes, the number of people moving changes, or other significant changes occur with regard to your housing needs.
The Porvoon Kodit housing application is valid for three months. You can submit a new application through our website, or alternatively by contacting our customer service. No documents should be attached to the application. They will only be requested if we are able to offer you a flat.
