A-Asukasyhdistys ry. was established 20 years ago at the initiative of a resident of A-Yhti\u00f6t. All residents of Porvoon Kodit automatically belong to the residents’ association and may participate in its activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After A-Yhti\u00f6t changed their name to Porvoon Kodit, the A-Asukasyhdistys will also change its name to Porvoon Kodit asukasyhdistys ry. New Facebook pages will be launched under the new name as soon as the new rules are completed and the new name is registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The core activity of the residents’ association is organising various community-building resident activities. Each year, we arrange different trips and events. For example, during Christmas, we have taken day trips to Christmas markets with joint transportation. In 2025, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of A-Yhti\u00f6t and the 20th anniversary of A-Asukasyhdistys. To mark the occasion, we organised a residents’ party together with A-Yhti\u00f6t, where Porvoon Kodit’s name and new look were unveiled. The party was held at Porvoon Kodit maintenance hall in Tarmola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year’s programme also included a trip to Em\u00e4salo for sausage grilling. A whole busload of residents had signed up! The bus was packed, with 52 people, and the trip was a great success, full of good spirit and pleasant company. Additionally, we visited a local animal farm, where we grilled sausages and cooked pancakes on an open griddle and got to know the animals. In December, a Christmas meal was organised for residents at Kokonhalli. About 80 people attended, the atmosphere was festive and joyful, and even Santa Claus paid a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim is to get to know Porvoon Kodit residents from different parts of the city and create a sense of community. Porvoon Kodit supports the association annually, which makes it possible to organise various trips and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents and the board of the A-Asukasyhdistys can make suggestions at meetings or via email about what trips and activities they would like the association to organise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope for new enthusiastic participants to join meetings, planning, and event organisation. Everyone has different strengths and expertise, so it is important to involve a variety of people. It’s been enjoyable to work and plan together. You can get in touch with a low threshold by email or just grab someone by the sleeve when you see us. You are warmly welcome to join our activities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
